Community Guidelines
How we expect every member of Meshii to show up.
Meshii exists to connect people over great food. We aspire to create a welcoming environment for everyone, so please adhere to the etiquette listed below. These guidelines apply to everything you do on Meshii — your profile, your messages, and your in-person behavior.
Be who you say you are
- →Please use a real photo of yourself so your companion can recognize you at the restaurant.
- →Please be accurate with name, age, and profession and how you've set up your profile.
- →No fake accounts, bots, or impersonating anyone else (goes without saying, but we're saying it anyway).
Treat people with respect. Golden rule it.
- →Be kind. We're all in this together.
- →No unsolicited explicit content.
- →Don't discriminate. The best nights out emerge when you're open to new experiences with interesting people of all types.
Keep it about the meal
- →Meshii is not explicitly a dating app. Even though two people may hit it off at dinner, before the meet, try to keep the chats about the restaurant, profiles, and plans to meet up.
- →No spam, promotional messages, or solicitation of any kind.
- →No soliciting money, gifts, or business from matches.
Show up
- →If you confirm plans, please honor them.
- →If something comes up, message your match as early as possible.
- →Repeated no-shows may result in account suspension.
Stay safe
- →Always meet in the public setting of the restaurant — never share your home address or personal contact details until you feel comfortable.
- →Trust your instincts. If something feels off before or during a meetup, leave.
- →Report anything that makes you feel unsafe using the flag icon on any match or in chat.
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal — depending on severity. We review all reports and take action on every credible one. Serious violations (threats, explicit content sent without consent, impersonation) result in immediate removal without warning.
